Uniting Southern California in Commitment to Global Engagement
We count eleven (11) Chapters – UN Associations – in our Southern California Region. Spanning from Santa Barbara to San Diego (North to South) and from Coachella Valley to Greater Los Angeles (East to West). Together we translate the United Nations – 193 countries – indispensable global work into local context in our communities throughout the Southern California region: The United Nations is our cities, is our communities, is all of us!
As a sister organization to the UN Foundation, our nationwide network is committed to strengthening the United Nations system, promoting constructive United States leadership in that system, and achieving the goals set forth in the UN Charter.
We’re proud to work with the Better World Campaign – an initiative of the UN Foundation – to mobilize Americans to support the ideals and vital work of the United Nations within and across our local communities.
Our volunteers believe in our shared humanity that goes hand in hand with a shared responsibility for our people, planet, and prosperity. We are firm believers in a sustainable future for all that requires local leadership in achieving the global sustainable development goals beyond the year 2030.
Together, our organizations represent the single largest network of non-partisan advocates and supporters of the United Nations in the world.
